Welcome to Camotes Island
The Camotes Islands are a group of four islands that are part of the province of Cebu. They are located east of Cebu Island, west and south of Leyte, and north of Bohol Island. Click here to view the location of Camotes Island.
I went there last May 2005 together with my officemates at Cebu-based ADTX Systems, Inc. We stayed in My Little Island hotel. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights; it was a very nice place to stay and the people were very accommodating. Immediately we were toured around the Camotes Islands, actually I can't remember what was the name of the specific island. We went to San Francisco beach an unspoiled, cotton-sand sea (I'm not kidding here, the sand just feels like cotton). Next was the Mangodlong Beach Resort, a resort with an islet/rock that can easily be reached by a raft. We also went to Bukilat Cave. Next stop was a quick canoe ride in Lake Danao and lastly viewing the whole island on top of its highest peak. All in all it was a very nice experience.

Welcome to Bantayan Island
Bantayan Island is an island in the Philippines located at the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu. The island can be reached by ferry from Hagnaya Wharf in San Remigio, Cebu, or from Cebu City, or from Cadiz City in Negros Occidental For a view of its location go to Google maps.
I went to Bantayan Island last May 2005 in part to visit my relatives at the same time to once again marvel at the unspoiled islands beauty. We stayed in Marlin Beach Resort in Santa Fe, Bantayan and we also visited what they call as Virgin Island because the island is uninhabited.

Beautiful sunset captured from Marlin Beach Resort.

This is the beach in Marlin Beach Resort. Pure white sands and crystal clear water.

This is the unspoiled Virgin Island - well forget about the little guy with shade. The strait between the main Bantayan Island which they call Pulong Dako and that of the Virgin Island is used for Pearl culturing.

You will never get enough of all the seafoods!

The best time to visit Bantayan Island is during the Holy Week because of various festivities during that time.
